Guided Imagery and Meditation

Many of our therapists and counselors use Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Techniques.  If you find yourself frequently ruminating over the past or worrying about things that have yet to happen, you may benefit greatly from mindfulness practices.  Mindfulness can be achieved by many different means.  Two of the most common are guided imagery and meditation.  Both of which have many uses. You can use these tools and others you will learn in counseling to promote relaxation, which can lower blood pressure and reduce stress. You can also use them to help reach other goals such as improved self-esteem, ease in falling asleep and staying asleep, weight loss, pain management, and decreased anxiety.
