What Can I Expect When I Call?

Many people are anxious about their first appointment and are unsure of what to expect. Our goal is to make this process as smooth as possible for you. If you are interested in learning more about our services or are ready to schedule an appointment, please send us an email or call our business office to start the intake process. You do not need a referral.

When you contact our office, we will gather basic information related to insurance, availability for appointments, any preference you have in a counselor and the reason you are seeking counseling. We will then match you with a counselor that best fits your needs. If you prefer to schedule a consultation call first, we are happy to do that.

You will then complete an online intake packet. If you are using insurance, we will verify your benefits prior to your first appointment, so you know what to expect.

What Can I Expect from Counseling?

You will have the opportunity to meet one on one with a highly qualified counselor or therapist. During your initial session, your counselor or therapist will begin by getting to know you and your goals for counseling. You will have an opportunity to share as much or as little as you are comfortable sharing. We understand that it may take time to feel comfortable and develop a trusting relationship. Together with your counselor, you will identify goals that are specific to you and the areas you would like to address. Most clients meet with their counselor on a weekly basis, but this may differ depending on your needs.
